TRANSITIONS was created by Acorn Shed Music as part of the Songs from Here project. It was made in collaboration with carers and people living with dementia in East Dunbartonshire.
The project offers a unique creative outlet for those whose lives have been touched in some way by a dementia diagnosis.
Through sharing stories and taking part in creative activities, participants were able to find ways to talk about the daily challenges of living with dementia. While some of these stories were sometimes difficult to talk about and difficult to hear, there were also many stories of happy times and there was lots and lots of laughter.
We hope that you enjoy listening to these songs and can hear the stories that lie underneath them. We would like to think that you might hear something within them that resonates with your own experience.
The album is free to stream and download, but any money raised goes towards the project.
