I was back at GloWormRecording earlier this year with Acorn Shed Music, producing this just-released 6-song EP:
All the songs were written in collaboration with people who’s lives have been affected by a dementia diagnosis. If you fall into that category (or even if you don’t), I highly recommend giving the EP a listen.
Carol and Pauline of Acorn Shed Music wrote six beautiful songs. Iain Hutchison at GloWorm (who co-produced my album Pale White Branches) captured them perfectly. Graeme McKerracher (again, on PWB) played electric guitar, I played bass and sang BVs, Maria Quinn played piano and Hammond organ (and recorded amazing string arrangements performed by Lesley Woodbrooks), and Conor Smith played gorgeous pedal steel guitar.

We launched the EP last week by performing it in its entirety, with help from a choir made up of the folks the songs were inspired by. Here’s a brilliant video which features footage from the event, and which also explains the amazing work done by Acorn Shed Music:

You can stream the album for free, and it’s a PWYW download. If you do pay, all funds raised go to Acorn Shed Music.
